Remembering 9/11
Do you remember where you were on 9/11 first seeing the images of the twin towers falling? For us Americans, this was a surreal moment in which we had to come to terms with the fragility of our national security. For us Christians it was a wake-up call exposing the widespread need of Christ’s grace and peace. As we seek to live the gospel, we should ask these kinds of questions as we reflect upon 9/11: Is the peace of Christ conquering more and more of my inner being and behavior? Am I a peacemaker? Am I proclaiming the gospel of peace to my neighbors? Am I supporting through prayer and money the work of Christ in this world?
