Nathan, Your remarks on Common Grace vs Special Grace were helpful and gave me great pause to worship God in Christ even in a deeper fashion. The graceful distinction concerning Us and Them is a needful doctrine. However, Antithesis as you well know can lead one into a vast and dry desert. I am mindful that someone long ago crossed that line of “us and them” and came into my reality and spoke of the love of Christ. Dr Schaeffer used Antithesis and the “Creator/Creature distinction in a loving and levered way to push or pull many people toward the Savior. He reminded many people there is nothing but despair unless we recognize that Common Grace is everywhere we look and even where we do not look.
Good words and great encouragement. PS, we had an RCC visitor yesterday names John Forster. I think he stayed behind while his family attended RCC family camp at Rockaway. Pama worked for John and his wife Pam for about three years helping with their home publishing business, “Doorposts.” He was impressed with the service.
God’s blessing to you, Glenda and your family. Roy G.
